Our Research

For a preliminary needs analysis, Dr. Robinson conducted a survey of teachers in a local county to determine technology access and integration in the classrooms. The survey was developed by Dr. Robinson and conducted during 2007. The survey and results are reported as a PDF attachment. Note that the literature review and the theoretical framework are not included. Since the findings were inconclusive due to such a small sample size, Dr. Robinson did not submit the report for publication. If there are any questions, please email Dr. Robinson - npr@techlearnit.org.

It's All Green

This past summer (2009), TechLearnIT conducted a Green Economy program to help students understand the human impact on the environment from extraction and production to consumption and disposal.

Ray Williams, CEO of Mirror Image Mentoring, provided transportation for his students from the Adamsville area to TechLearnIT's facilities. Under Mr. William's guidance, students were able to compose rap lyrics about the green economy and its impact on the community. Dr. Robinson helped students draft story boards and produce PowerPoint presentations about their knowledge and awareness of the issues regarding recycling.

The following is a video featuring highlights of students' experiences during the creation of their presentations and rap lyrics, "It's All Green."
